We Don't Make
Content.
We Make Mirrors.

And mirrors change people.

I'm Andrew. I've been telling stories through video, photography, and audio for over 20 years, mostly for people who care about what they're building. Schools that want parents and stakeholders to feel something. NGOs that need donors to act. Companies going through real change who need more than a pretty video, they need someone who understands why the story matters.

We run a full production facility out of Alberton. Concept to delivery. Camera, edit suite, audio booth, motion graphics, all under one roof. We keep our client list intentionally small, because the best work happens when we actually know your business, not just your brief. When you work with A&D, you get consistency. Same standard. Every time.

If you need a button-pusher with a tripod, we're not your team. If you need someone who'll ask the uncomfortable questions, stay in the room when things get real, and build something that makes your audience see themselves differently, let's talk.

Corporate Profile Series

The production work that builds brands from the inside out, quietly, consistently, over years.

"Pretty videos collect dust. Real stories move people."

If you've seen something here that feels like the work you need, let's talk.

The artist's work is never complete.
Until they decide to stop painting.

Still being written. Since 2007.

In 1997 I watched a making-of video for the movie Volcano. They made lava flowing down a street out of the same stuff milkshakes are made of. I was twelve years old and I never recovered.

From that moment I wanted to understand how things were made. Not just watch them, understand the construction underneath.

My best friend's father was head of engineering for a post-production facility in Johannesburg. As kids we used to go with him to 'work', it felt like a playground during school holidays. Edit suites, audio studios, CD duplicators, wearing little white gloves, bashing cables on live shows, helping out here and there, moving and setting up wracks. We didn't know we were learning. We thought we were playing.

Fast forward to 2007. I was 24. I was working in film and television, a field I genuinely loved, but I was invisible inside it. I had no say in the projects. No input on the messaging. I was making other people's stories matter while mine sat in a drawer. And I knew, with absolute clarity, that if I died today I'd be replaced tomorrow.

So I left. Took a half pay cut to follow photography. Found myself a year later still hungry, literally, with no income and bills I couldn't pay.

That's when A&D Media Productions was born. Not from a business plan. From necessity and stubbornness and the belief that the work should mean something.

What I didn't know then, and took almost 20 years to fully understand, is that I'd spend the next two decades being the best kept secret for our clients.

Almost everything A&D has made has gone out under someone else's name. White label work. Invisible by design. Clients who trusted us most, knew us. To the outside world? We never existed.. I used to joke about it. It stopped being funny.

But the work itself, the work nobody saw, that was real. A father on camera saying the thing he'd never said to his kids. A teenager in a school in Soweto who became a peer leader and changed the direction of her life. A child found in a dustbin who grew up and found a family. These stories didn't need my name on them to matter. But they taught me something about what this work is actually for.

It's not content. It's not marketing. It's not deliverables.

It's the moment just before someone says the true thing. The silence that most crews want to cut away from. I've learned to stay in that silence. Something always comes out of it that couldn't have been scripted.

In 2007 I started a company because I didn't want to be invisible inside someone else's story.

In 2026 I'm finally telling my own.

"We don't learn your brief. We learn your business."

Stories Left to Tell

"We don't extract stories from organisations. We excavate them. The difference is everything, one takes what's visible, the other finds what's buried."

The A&D Methodology
01
Story Finding
Discovery meets therapy. We dig for uncomfortable truths, not press-release narratives.
02
Keyword Alignment
We name the tension. Language that holds real weight, not corporate filler.
03
Character Focus
Not the hero. The flawed, the scared, the real, that's where audiences connect.
04
Storyboarding
Crafted for intent, not polish. Moments that reveal. Conflict-driven structure.

What we have. Where we are.

A New Structure Rising

Groundwork
Creative

Every structure needs groundwork before anything visible goes up. The foundation has to be true before the walls go on.

Groundwork Creative is where the methodology lives, the framework for finding stories that matter, told in a way that other creative operators can use. For now, this is where we're laying the foundation.

If you're a solo creative operator, a small production company, or a business owner who believes the real story is never in the brief — you're in the right place. Just a little early.

Leave your details. We'll let you know when the doors open.

Coming Soon

"Something new is being built here."

No newsletters. No noise. Just a note when it's ready.

The architect is still drawing the plans.

Let's talk.

No forms that ask for your budget before they ask for your name.

The last field is optional — just curious.
